This week I joined a new challenge called the "52 Words 52 Pictures Challenge" sponsored by my friend Amy from '1,000 Words Photography'. In this challenge we are given 1 word per week. Our challenge is to think about the word that we are given and take a picture that represents what that word means to us. The first week's word was "Beginnings" which is fitting for the beginning of the new year. I decided to do this challenge on the last day of the end of the first week so I had to think fast about what I could take a picture of that word represent what the word beginning means to me. The obvious would be to take a picture of the word January or a baby, etc. So, I had to come up with something else. While driving through town looking around for something that would catch my attention, I drove by the old hospital. It dawned on me that there is where my "beginning" was. So, I took a picture and altered it a little in photoshop and decided to use that as my first challenge photo. That old hospital has since closed down but that is where I got my beginning. There is a new hospital now but the old hospital will always hold a special place in my heart with so many memories, including my own children being born there. Well that wraps up my first official blog. Hopefully as time goes on I will get better at writing, hopefully. Or it will just be fun no matter what ;)
